…Even our heart suffers and pains
is fully occupied and “drifted” by love
and with bouzouki and guitars
sings softly and sweet like a bird…

14th International Seminar-Meeting on the rebetiko July, 16-23 2023 Skyros Island, Greece

This year the 14th international seminar-meeting will take place from 16 to 23 July 2023 and coincides with the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the relevant UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and on the other hand with the celebration of the “European Days of Cultural Heritage”.

The seminar-meeting for the rebetiko of Skyros is one of the basic reference points about Rebetiko included in the official files of UNESCO’s texts.

This year, our events will be held as always, with respect to the heritage of rebetiko and in the positive aura of the beautiful island of Skyros. Our constant partners will be the local community, the PEAP of the Municipality of Skyros, the Museum of Manos and Anastasia Faltaits, the Cultural Association of Skyros “Anemoessa” (formerly SOPPA) and the SNE (Skyros Nautical Company).

Because of the number of the participants is limited, we’ll keep strict priority. Please contact us by phone or e-mail in order to declare your participation.
